NY No Severance Ultimatum Act

NY is considering adding employer requirements to severance agreements that mirror the ADEA - OWBPA requirements.  Interesting comment at the end of this article announcing the proposed change.  I have experienced many employees who did not want to wait their 21 + 7 days…

While the act may attempt to expand employees' rights, the burden it imposes may not rest solely on employers, as employees may be forced to wait for much-needed post-employment compensation and benefits.
